MMMC Privacy Policy v1.0 — First Wave Launch
My Music Marketing Collective (“MMMC”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how it is handled, and the choices and rights available to you.
For privacy and data-protection enquiries, you can contact us at:
privacy@
1. Information we collect
When you join the MMMC First Wave, we may collect:
- your first name;
- your email address;
- the music-industry role or persona you select;
- your marketing consent and the version of the consent statement you accepted;
- the date and time associated with your consent and registration;
- campaign, source, landing-page and referral information where available; and
- limited technical information generated through your interaction with our website and systems where reasonably necessary for security, administration and reliable operation.
You do not need to create an MMMC user account simply to join the First Wave notification group.
2. Why we use your information
We use your information to:
- process your request to join the MMMC First Wave;
- confirm that the email address supplied belongs to you;
- maintain an accurate record of your subscription and consent;
- send development updates, early-access news and launch information you have asked to receive;
- understand how people discover and engage with MMMC;
- administer, secure and maintain our website and communications systems; and
- meet applicable legal, regulatory and accountability requirements.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. First Wave communications and consent
Joining the MMMC First Wave is optional.
When you ask to receive First Wave development updates, early-access news and launch information by email, we rely on your consent.
Our First Wave registration process requires you to actively indicate that you wish to receive these communications.
We then use a double opt-in process. A confirmation email is sent to the address you provide, and your First Wave email subscription is not treated as confirmed until the confirmation process has been completed.
We maintain appropriate records of your consent and subscription status so that we can respect your preferences and demonstrate how and when consent was obtained.
You can withdraw your consent at any time.
4. Other uses of personal information
Not every limited use of personal information associated with operating MMMC is based on marketing consent.
Where appropriate, we may process information where necessary for our legitimate interests in:
- protecting the security and integrity of MMMC;
- preventing misuse;
- maintaining reliable website and communications infrastructure;
- maintaining appropriate operational records; and
- understanding and improving the operation of our service.
We may also process information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation.
These purposes will not be used to override your decision to withdraw consent or object to direct marketing.
5. Email and technology providers
MMMC uses specialist service providers to help operate the platform and its communications.
Brevo is used to support First Wave email subscriptions, double opt-in confirmation and First Wave email communications. Information necessary to provide those services may therefore be processed by Brevo on our behalf.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides technology infrastructure used by MMMC. Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) may be used for transactional or service-related email. SES is separate from the First Wave marketing subscription mechanism.
We may use other technical providers where reasonably necessary to host, secure, maintain or operate MMMC.
We provide service providers only with information reasonably required to perform the relevant services and expect personal information to be handled subject to appropriate data-protection, contractual and security requirements.
6. International processing
Some technology and communications providers used by MMMC may process or store information outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take appropriate steps to ensure that transfers are made in accordance with applicable data-protection law and that appropriate safeguards or transfer mechanisms are used where required.

7. Cookies and similar technologies
MMMC may use cookies or similar technologies necessary for the operation, security and functionality of the website.
Where optional analytics, advertising or other technologies are introduced that require consent under applicable law, appropriate information and consent choices will be provided where required.
This policy describes the technologies and processing relevant to MMMC. Generic WordPress features such as public comments, Gravatar and visitor media uploads are not treated as part of MMMC merely because the underlying website uses WordPress.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably required for the purposes for which it was collected and where necessary to meet legal, security and accountability requirements.
For First Wave participants, relevant subscription and consent records may be retained while you remain subscribed.
If you unsubscribe or withdraw marketing consent, we may retain a limited suppression record containing the minimum information necessary to record your preference and prevent you from being inadvertently added back to marketing communications.
Other limited records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal rights.
9. Unsubscribing and withdrawing consent
You can unsubscribe from First Wave marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe facility provided in our marketing emails.
You can also contact:
privacy@
Once you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, we will stop using your email address for the affected direct-marketing purpose.
We may retain the minimum information necessary on a suppression or do-not-contact record so that your preference continues to be respected.
10. Data Controller
My Music Marketing Collective is operated by Vadercor Ltd, which is the data controller responsible for the personal information and processing described in this Privacy Policy.
For all privacy and data-protection matters relating to MMMC, please contact:

11. Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances and the basis on which your information is processed, you may have rights including:
- access to personal information we hold about you;
- correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- erasure of personal information in appropriate circumstances;
- restriction of processing in appropriate circumstances;
- objection to certain processing;
- data portability where applicable; and
- withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
You have the right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time.
If you wish to exercise a data-protection right, contact:

We may need to take reasonable steps to confirm your identity before acting on certain requests.
12. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse.
No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security, but MMMC is designed and operated with data protection, access control and separation of responsibilities in mind.
13. Complaints
If you have concerns about the way MMMC handles your personal information, we would encourage you to contact us at:

You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection supervisory authority.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
MMMC is developing, and our services will evolve.
We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, processing activities or applicable legal requirements change.
The current version will be published on this page together with its last-updated date.
Where a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional information or notification where appropriate.
